When David noticed water pouring over his gutters during downpours, he knew something wasn’t right. He contacted Gutter Shutter of Greater Atlanta to get expert insight into what was happening. Rick arrived to assess the situation and quickly identified the issue: the metal gutter guards were packed with debris and no longer functioning as intended. The clogged system was restricting water flow, forcing rainwater to spill over the sides and increasing the risk of damage to the home.
After walking David through the findings, Rick explained that the old open-faced design simply couldn’t manage debris or heavy rain effectively. The recommendation was clear: a full gutter replacement with a system engineered to prevent clogging altogether. David located in Jasper, GA noticed that he was having several areas of puddles collecting at the foundation of his home and reached out to Gutter Shutter to provide a complete evaluation of his current gutter system. Unsure as to what his gutter protection problem may have been he thought it best to rely on the experts for their advice.
Upon Rick's inspection of the home it was noted that he had flimsy, old mesh-like gutter screens that were pulling up away from the gutters in parts and leaves and debris had been piling up on top of the guards in others for an extended period of time. This was preventing water from flowing through his gutters into his downspouts and away from his home. Instead the water was pouring over the gutters directly onto the ground just outside David's front door and adjoining flowerbeds causing erosion. The portion of the gutters where the mesh guards had actually began to lift and pull away from the gutters leaves were so clogged the weight of the gutters were so heavy they began to pull away from the fascia board.
