Photo Album: Downspout Underground Extension Installed in Cumming, GA

Ariel from Gutter Shutter of Greater Atlanta headed out to Bud’s home in Cumming, GA, to take a look at a troublesome downspout situation. Bud’s existing system emptied above ground, and every time it rained, water poured straight onto the landscaping. The result was erosion, pooling, and constant upkeep that quickly wore on Bud’s patience. He wanted a smarter solution, one that would move precipitation safely away from the home and protect his yard for the long haul.   The plan was to extend the existing gutter downspout and reroute it underground, allowing water to drain efficiently and out of sight. Once the design was set, our expert installers got to work without missing a beat. They dug a lengthy trench from the left, back corner of the home, creating a clean path for the new underground drainage system. To improve performance and appearance, a section of the gutter was also replaced with a durable 6" K-style gutter in a rich musket brown.     The finished setup included a wide-mouth outlet, a musket brown 3x4 downspout, and 4" PVC lawn underground downspout extensions, along with the removal and disposal of 25 linear feet of old gutter. With the water now channeled safely away from the property, Bud no longer has to worry about erosion or soggy landscaping.
