Photo Album: Gutter Removal and Damaged Fasica in Lawrenceville, GA | Gutter System Installation
When Buddy reached out to Gutter Shutter of Greater Atlanta for a free estimate on his Lawrenceville, GA home, it didn't take long to see why he'd called. The gutters were pushing 20+ years old and had already been in rough shape back when Buddy bought the house in 2008. Years of exposure had taken their toll: sections were pulling loose from the fascia, and on one side of the house, lengths of gutter were visibly sagging and hanging away from the roofline. They were still doing their job, catching water, but just barely, and the wood fascia underneath had started to rot from prolonged moisture exposure.
After a full inspection, the Gutter Shutter team laid out a straightforward plan: remove and dispose of the old gutters entirely, replace all 205 linear feet of the deteriorated wood fascia with durable composite material, and install a brand-new open K-style gutter system. The scope included 8 inside/outside corners, 2 Gutter Shutter Valley Controllers to manage water flow at tricky roof valleys, 8 wide-mouth outlets in white, and 111 linear feet of 3x4 downspouts, also in white, to match the home's trim.
For Buddy, the appeal wasn't just fixing what was broken; it was upgrading to a system built to last. Swapping rotten wood fascia for composite material meant no more worrying about moisture damage down the road, and the new Gutter Shutter system meant the days of clogged, sagging gutters were behind him for good.
Gutters are beat up and look visually unappealing
The nails are pulling out and causing the gutters to separate from the fascia.
Gutter is damaged and pooling water
The current shape of the open-faced gutters is rusting out and pulling away from the fascia. We are removing the aged gutters to replace the rotted-out fascia boards.
Gutters open all around the home
The recommended gutter was to install a new K-Style Gutter System with gutter guards to keep the gutters free of debris.
Fascia is installed
We installed over 200 feet of new composite fascia board.
Fascia boards replaced
The homeowner, Buddy, requests that we use a composite fascia vs. a standard board. This composite is more durable and weather-resistant.
